A great place to explore before or after a pint at the Shamrock. It is really worth making a day of it and exploring this attractive community.
Moraira is set at the foot of the village of Benitachell, and stretches across the coast and back into the mountains. Its beautiful, mostly green surroundings offer some spectacular views out across the sea.
Once a small fishing village, Moraira has not suffered the vast expansion of other nearby towns such as Benidorm. It has remained a fairly small size, and many of its residential areas stretch back a good distance from the town itself. It is an ideal area for both holidays and retirees, and its charm and beauty attracts visitors all over Europe, making it disproportionately popular for its size. It has an impressive marina with a large variety of local shops, and two sandy beaches.
There is also plenty to do aside from sunbathing and water sports, however. The town sports two well equipped golf courses, and there are also tennis courts and horse riding centres available. Of course, the charming town and its surroundings also offer plenty of walking spots.
